Good Wednesday to you all. RFK Jr.’s announcement on food dyes yesterday was an unsurprising but very welcome moment in the first 100 days of his tenure as head of HHS. Most people are aware that the food in America is mostly filler and is filled with unpronounceable ingredients. If the entire thing were a pure system, and disclosure was a part of what was required for food manufacturers, I would struggle with the government intervention on this, but the food we are told is supposedly safe, has neither disclosure nor honest acquisition in a capitalist system. Everything, including the grain, has been either subsidized by the taxpayer or has been bought off from true requirements by the corporations. The more I observe the reactions to this, the more I understand that what I have been told for my entire life about America being a capitalist system is, at best, a mislabeling and, at worst, a word used to cover up what is really happening behind the scenes. I am all for this move, given the system we find ourselves in. Corporations need to be accountable for something or someone because they are hiding what they should be disclosing.
