Once the founding generation had dissolved their political ties with the King, a new challenge presented itself. How does one order a society? It is easy to demolish the old ways, but when faced with the new frontier of a world completely reborn, the complexities show themselves quickly.
The Constitution of the United States was a response to early forms of union that had proven themselves filled with challenges. This second lesson in the Legacy Project is intended to help put some context to why the founders chose the methods they did to bring The United States of America to fruition.
For those who missed yesterday’s first lesson, this is a program that we have been doing in Northern Colorado for the last 13 years. We take groups of men, couples, or church small groups and walk them through the founding of the country. Hopefully, it helps them have rational discussions about the best way forward for our country.
If you have interest in doing something like this locally, we are just starting to reach out beyond our region. It has had a significant impact on thousands of men and women in our area and we hope it continues to impact our nation in the positive ways it already has.
