The laws are there to keep us trying for a civilized society, but they know they are above them. That’s not a society, it’s a plantation.

I keep reading about how San Diego is trying to add several new taxes (sales, real estate, etc.). California is the most expensive place to live, not because of any other reason other than the elected leadership insists on passing law after law with new regulations and requirements for everything from booster seats for 15 year olds and folate in tortillas. I pray that people will wake up and stop voting for these people. There is so much fraud and waste especially related to homelessness (a problem that gets worse and worse). We need a revolutionary change. Cut all of taxes and regulations. All of them. Start over. No more suicidal empathy. It’s not working. Give citizens back their income, liberty and freedom. It all seems so sad and overwhelming. I can only imagine how much fraud would be found here. And there seems to be no consequences. No one is fired or resigns. They (the politicians) just get more and more wealthy.

Sadly nothing will ever actually happen to change this. The young generation is ideologically captured and heading down the road of socialism. Gen X and boomers are aging out and have too much to lose.

Nancy Pelosi has averaged a 60% return on investments for 20 years and has never had a down year. Of course this can’t be accomplished without insider trading, but we’ve been hearing about this for literally decades and nothing ever happens. Were you or I to accomplish these same investment returns we would be under incredible scrutiny from the SEC, the IRS and every other appendage of the Eye of Sauron.

And nothing has ever been done about it and nothing ever will.

Maybe if it gets bad enough people will declare a tax revolt but even that is unlikely. Boomers will not risk their credit score let alone take any risk inducing action.

What will happen is historic Americans will continue to out migrate to red states and rural areas. This is what I have done and it’s the best you can accomplish today.

I don’t think so. We’re already distracted by the next thing. As a rejoinder to your thoughts on the youth of America, we have given them absolutely nothing to believe in as it relates to a good America. We’ve told them that our system is superior but empirically they look across the horizon and see a landscape of unobtainable dreams. They will look to anyone who promises something different in hopes of obtaining a small fraction of what their parents and grandparents had..

Thanks Aaron. Nice to hear from you, you are one of my favorite authors on substack.

It's an incredible dichotomy we are in. I have been a serial entrepreneur for 40 years and I have never seen an environment so full of opportunity and where it is so easy to make money as right now.

I can show any person how to go from zero to being a millionaire in five years. However it takes sacrifice, a triple digit IQ, and thousands and thousands of hours of work.

A huge failing of our society is that there is, in many young people's experience, no one that is giving them that message. They are not showing them how, nor are they inspiring them to do anything. If we could somehow fix that we would do a lot to address all of America's problems.

That would be interesting to talk to you about further. I want that message so much for our young men and women.
