Washington Day 4 - The Rabble Heads Home

But not before AI and magic vaccines gets their awful debut in the Trump administration.

Well, the rabble are all headed home. The Washington rats can all come out from hiding in the Hamptons and resume their pursuit of control and money grabbing. I remain hopeful that the new group in charge has something to say about that and will end what they can, but make no mistake, there’s going to be an all-out push to resume our regularly scheduled “control the people" programming.

Speaking of programming, it seems that President Trump has found some new programmers to take us into the future dystopia of AI. With the announcement yesterday of his new partnership with Oracle and Open AI, we can be assured that taxpayer money will be used to help the Technigarchs define the future. I will admit, I was happy that Elon jumped in to help Trump win the election, but I think most of us are not interested in the future that these people are dreaming up - including Elon. I have nothing but disdain for the idea that man can play God. It’s the original sin and we should be very careful about any person’s desire to use the technology of our age to venture into the God-space. I have my suspicions about why this announcement came 48 hours into his presidency and while Robert F. Kennedy remains unconfirmed with a gag order on social media from the chief of staff. If I get too into the weeds on this one, I wonder out loud how much the three-hour meeting with Bill Gates might be influencing the moment. But setting that down with a little hesitation, I remain optimistic that RFK Jr. will be opposed to this ridiculous position.

AI is not something we have to have. This is a threat to humanity that is more deadly and complicated than any nuclear weapon. I said this morning on X that we have no obligation to utilize all inventions to their maximum capacity. We have treaties about who can have nuclear weapons and we have decided that we want to limit them. We should do the same with AI. It’s a terrifying future if left unchecked and placed in the hands of companies with more money than most countries. I do not want to see a future with it. You can accuse me of being a Neo-Luddite or whatever other pejorative you want, but I do not think this is the way forward for humanity.

The original sin in the garden was not disobedience; it was the desire to be like God. The temptation that the serpent offered was crafty. It moved into the worst spaces of the human psyche and gave Adam and Eve just enough rope to hang themselves. AI is crafted from the same temptations. The idea that you can live forever with enough knowledge is a certain path to a terrible life. The curse that God left the original people with was one of toil, trouble, pain, and separation from the creator. AI is destined for the same horrific ending.

Larry Ellison’s amazing journey into 48-hour creations of magical vaccines for cancer is a nice looking fruit - something resembling the one the serpent offered in the garden. It isn’t a path worth taking, and I will remain vigilant that Making America Healthy and Great again has nothing to do with this future the billionaire boys club is looking to create.

On a positive note, Ross Ulbricht is free. A person persecuted by a rotten justice system who was given 2 life sentences plus 40 years for one more kick in the lowers, is finally out of jail and being reunited with his amazing mother and looking forward to a free and productive life. If you haven’t seen the Timcast IRL podcast with Thomas Massie revealing the letter that Ross wrote him, it’s worth the listen. To realize that elections can matter to people in the fight is why we all advocate for who we do. Massie, as I noted in my X post is my adopted congressman. He does the things that are right for a free republic - even in the face of long odds and scorn from the political machines. Ross making his way into the world of free air again is a great ending to a long and terrible story. I appreciated that President Trump gave him a full pardon rather than a commuting of his sentence. Ross was never guilty of anything other than being anti-government system. That was his crime and one we should all be thankful that was exposed by President Trump for its awfulness.

If I had one takeaway from my time in D.C. it is this:

Washington loves itself. In a town where they build statues of the worst government participants and name airports after recognized deep-state criminals, it’s a fight that is going to take a lot to unwind. I have high hopes that RFK Jr. can be the inside man that I hope for, but putting all of our trust in him is something I think he would ask us not to do. We have to remain the vigilant force of liberty or the government will always default to becoming the worst version of itself. Our job is to remain skeptical. I loved the party - but the work is just beginning. It has to be on our shoulders or the town that loves to celebrate its crimes against the people will build new statutes to worse characters. Remember that in all countries, the powerful love to celebrate themselves - ours is the only one who starts with a premise that it is the government that owes its allegiance to us, not itself; yet they will always default to pursuing that end.

Trump has clearly done some good in the last 48 hours - but he’s also done things that should be examined and pushed into. They all have to pay off their donors now in favors - that’s the Washington way. By the way, that’s nothing new. Abraham Lincoln was famously found in his office lamenting after the election and his aide asked him what was wrong. He exclaimed, “There’s not enough tits for the pigs.” These billionaires aren’t looking for jobs in this era, but they are looking for free money and access to the printing presses and an unregulated way of doing business. The government, if it is to be successful in guarding the rights of the people, must begin to end this ever-present drive for collusion and cronyism.

Keep your guard up and stay tuned in. We rabble have left Washington so the criminals are creeping back out from around every corner.
