Malevolent Hobbits like Mark Levin should be ignored.; he's a great pillock (that's for Jack). Mark Steyn was and is a far better commentator; the so-called right really traded down there.
Trump gets underestimated a lot since unbridled hatred clouds the judgement of so many. That works to his advantage. I suspect he's a different person behind the scenes, and as Bill Maher observed after his dinner with Trump, the brash combative thin skinned Trump we see so much was nowhere in sight that night. He can turn it on and then off. That makes him an extremely formidable adversary. As they said about Reagan with far less cause, he may be a sonofabitch, but he's our sonofabitch, thank God.
Regardless your political leanings you have to admire his energy. It's easy to forget he's in his late seventies, especially after watching the seditious drooling feeb face plant his way toward destroying what's left of the Republic. 'talk about Mr. Beaning your way through a Presidency; that's an insult to Mr. Bean, I think. Biden was Trump's age now when he was "elevated" to the Presidency.
It's worth noting that one of the reasons the Deep State hates Trump so much is that he's diametrically opposed to US troops on the ground in a combat role, in any combative role, for that matter, air land or sea. Trump 45 was the first President in a long time that didn't get the US involved in any new wars.
US air power is phenomenal; US forces have over 13K planes, which is larger than the combined air fleets of the next five countries on the list. The strategic triad is updated to include drones but remains air/land/sea where both land and sea are now in a largely supporting role to air and space. I think the risk of ground troops in roles other than special ops is now far lower than it's been in our lifetimes. Should your sons serve, they're more likely to serve in front of workstations gathering intelligence and deploying drones laden with ordnance. I doubt we'll see another Desert Storm in my lifetime; fingers crossed, and I'm 73:-) Okay, not during Trump's 2d term.
